  I’m afraid I don’t know how all medicines work… I think there probably aren’t many people who do… The problem is that all medicines work in slightly different ways. Something like an antibiotic will work by killing bacteria whereas a pain killer like paracetamol works by blocking chemicals called prostaglandins which make us feel pain.
  
  Can you think of a particular medicine you would like to know more about?
