Hi Fraser, I do enjoy travelling on a ship because you get to see places that people have never seen before. But I do also get sea-sick so normally when I get on a ship, it takes me 2-3 days to get used to the motion of the ship bobbing up and down on the sea… it’s just like getting travel sickness if you’ve ever had that. After that, then I am normally OK as long as there are no storms! I also miss seeing land when I am away to sea because sometimes you won’t set foot on land for 8-10 weeks! Sometimes when people come back to land after being at sea for so long, you can suffer from the opposite of sea-sickness and get “land sickness”. This is because your body has become so used to the motion that the ship makes, that you can feel quite dizzy when you get back on land again!
