      That is a brilliant question…unfortunately, time travel has not been invented yet (and would probably never happen). One of the ways in which you could go back in time is if you were to travel faster than the speed of light, which has been established as the fastest speed in the universe (or, to put in numbers 299,792.458 kms every second – that translates as going around the Earth over 7 times in just one second!). Certain theories (and experiments) have shown that you cannot travel faster than light and even travelling at the speed of light (or close to it) would be impossible for any human being or any object other than light.

      Unfortunately, I don’t know enough about it, but there is a very nice lecture by Dr Brian Cox on it that was broadcasted by the BBC. There he explains time travel in relation to the speed of light. The program is call “The Science of Dr. Who”. You should watch it!:)
