      Hi @juniorbubblegum

Well…sort of, if you can consider the times that I have visited the zoo. Some zoos keep endangered species in them, such as pandas and white lions, as part of conservation programs. However, I have never seen them in their natural environment. This can be difficult due to the low numbers and some times only scientist that study them get the chance of seeing them in their habitats. Some times they are so difficult to find that we have considered a species to be extinct just to find out that there are still some members of the species left years later!

What you should know is that when an animal or a plant become extinct it is a great irreversible loss for the world. We have to be careful and protect all species in the world to make sure that they don’t disappear. There are some very good conservation programs established world-wide, but, ultimately, their survival will depend on educating people and making them aware of the importance of protecting all species.
