Hi @diggerlack, there are 7 billion humans that live on the planet and many of these people live in cities which are very polluted. Pollution comes from a variety of things e.g. :
      1. Waste plants (where all our wee and poo goes to get processed)
      2. Farmers who spread chemicals on theirs fields to get plants to grow faster
      3. Fumes from our cars and factories.

These kind of pollutions affect us in different ways so the pollution from sewage works can run into rivers and into the sea and kill the fish or make our drinking water undrinkable. The chemicals from the farmer’s fields can also kill the wildlife that live around or near the fields which is bad for our countryside. Fumes from cars and factories can be bad for people’s health and people who live near factories or in cities with lots of fumes can have trouble breathing properly. It’s not just chemicals that can pollute either… sound can be a pollution- loud sound from airports or roads can affect people’s mental health too. In general, it is good and smart to car for your environment because you and I rely on it so much.
With more people living on the planet, there is more pressure on our Earth to keep us happy. The problem is, we can’t be happy if our Earth is unhappy and polluted.
