I’m not sure how many layers of bacteria we have on our skin but I know we have more bacteria on your skin than there are stars in the known universe and ten times more bacteria in your body than human cells! So when you count them up, that measures one hundred trillion bacteria or 100 000 000 000. Yikes!

Probably quite a few layers! There are literally billions of bacteria in, near or on you; as Kate says, ‘Yikes!’
