• Question: what do you do in your spare time

      Hi @izzy2014,

      In my spare time I like to bake cakes; the Great British Bake off is one of my favorite programs. I recently baked a cake in the shape of the Titanic for my friend. It took me 8 whole hours!!

      I also like to keep active- I like to climb and I’m running my first marathon in a few weeks… I’m very scared!

      To relax after a hard day at work I love to do yoga. It teaches me that you can’t expect to be good at things straight away, you have to work at them and eventually you will learn to be good at them. This is very useful after those days when nothing seems to be going right and none of my science is working. It helps me remember that if I try again tomorrow, and the day after, eventually it will work.

      I like to practice sports and eat a lot. I am very keen on going to the gym and doing Olympic-style weightlifting. I also do fencing and I have competed at national level. Apart from that I try to keep very active, cycling everywhere. Of course, with all that exercise I always build a big appetite, so there is nothing that I love more than eating. Going to restaurants and cooking delicious meals at home.

      Hi @izzy2014, At the moment, I don’t have much spare time because I have so much to do! But when I do have spare time, I enjoy painting, playing the piano and lots of sports! I usually run or row and rowed across the english channel last year, all the way to France!
