• Question: What is the most important thing that you need to know about being a scientist?

      That anyone can do it. You need to be bright and dedicated, but the ability to think in a scientific way is possible for every single one of us. Just like most of us can play football, even if we could never play in the Premier League.

      I think that knowing there are no silly questions is quite important. To find the answer to a problem in science we need lots of people to ask different questions about the same thing and look at a problem from lots of different angles. When we do this we find out the most information we can about something.

      I think being very interested in what you are doing and asking lots of questions is important. These naturally go together because if you are interested, you will ask lots of questions and find answers. So if you are interested in something, then you can become a scientist!
