      Marie Curie. She was self-trained (women weren’t allowed to be educated in those days, believe it or not), and won TWO Nobel prizes (for Physics and Chemistry). This was one more than her husband Pierre…bet she never let him forget it…

      From the well known scientists (ie. TV scientist), I will say David Attenborough, as he was the person who with his videos and documentaries fueled my love for science. But in general I will say Marie Curie too, she was an incredible woman and a pioneer in every aspect.

      PS: To add to Joe’s comment, not only Marie Curie had 2 Nobel prizes in two different categories and his husband had one, but their daughter also won a Nobel prize in Chemistry too, making the Curie family the most awarded family in the history of the Nobel prizes
