Hi @hw2132, I joined this because I wanted to share my science with the younger generation and I think this is a brilliant tool for doing that! I am also really inspired by how many of you are asking brilliant questions which makes me more enthusiastic about my own work.

      Hi @hw2132

I joined this because I really enjoyed the idea of being able to interact with students like you at their schools and get them interested in the sciences. I really like the concept of having you guys ask the questions, as that way you can ask us about the things that you like or want to learn more about. I think it is a great challenge and if only half of you come out of here with at least one new thing learnt (and hopefully a new interest in science) then I will feel like my time here was all well spent.

Sure, it would be nice to win the competition, but that’s the least of my concerns, as for me this is more about inspiring you guys than anything else.

PS: Though, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to win, so please vote for me 😀

Like Kate and Juan I got involved so I could share my geeky love of science with all of you guys. I was a little bit nervous about the kinds of things you would all ask but I have loved the challenge of answering all of your tough questions! I’ve learned some new things and, like Juan, I hope you lot have too!!

Hi, I joined for very similar reasons to the others. I was interested to see what questions everyone would ask and whether I would be able to answer them in a way you could understand (hopefully I’ve done this). I hope I can also get across how enthusiastic I am about science and how fascinating it is.
