• Question: Why do you shrink when you get older?

      Between the ages of 30 and 70 a man could get shorter by about 1 inch and a woman by 2 inches… There are lost of reasons for this such as the wearing out and general squishing of the soft discs called cartilage that separate the bones in your spine. Not only this but your bones themselves can also shrink and become less dense.

      In order to stop ourselves from shrinking too fast we need to try and stay fit and healthy for as long as possible. Adults should also make sure they get enough vitamin D and calcium… not just kids! and they should also try and keep active as much as possible.
