Hi @lolly1- Sunlight from the sun looks white but really it is on a spectrum with blue at the low end and red at the high end and all colours of the rainbow in between. The sky is blue because when sunlight hits the earths atmosphere, it gets scattered in all directions by the particles and gases in the air. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.
